Welcome!

Welcome to the City of Rensselaer
Waterfront Connectivity Study

project website!

The intent of this Study was to explore

access options for all modes of travel

to the City of Rensselaer’s North

and a bicycle/pedestrian connection

to the Hollow Trail.

This process will help the City pursue its goals of enhancing the Rensselaer Waterfront and the Hilton Center Brownfield Redevelopment Area, connecting the City to the proposed Rensselaer Riverwalk, Kiliaen’s Landing, and the Hollow Trail, promoting economic development, improving safety, and creating a connected and integrated multi-modal transportation network for users of all ages and abilities, including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, transit users, freight, emergency vehicles, children, elderly, and people with disabilities.

The study was funded by the City of Rensselaer and CDTC through its 2021-2022 Community and Transportation Linkage Planning Program, an implementation program of CDTC’s New Visions regional transportation plan.
